Leslie Pate Mackinnon was drawn to this field by her own experience of placing two sons in closed adoptions during her late adolescence.

Leslie is now married and raising teen aged IVF twins and has four frozen embryos remaining.

Her passion, beyond family and career, is music. She sings in a Gospel choir and is just finishing her first book on families created by alternative means.
